PerformancePoint Services for Sharepoint is the Monitoring piece of PerformancePoint Server. PPS allows companies to quickly and easily deploy robust dashboards to corporate sharepoint intranet sites.

PPS can bring numerous data sources and report types together in one simple dashboard.

PerformancePoint allows designers to link ProClarity Analytic Server views into any dashboard. The screenshot below shows two ProClarity charts that are linked by a common filter. PerformancePoint also has some advanced features which give designers some flexibility. In the example below, when the user chooses a territory, from the drop down, the lower graph shows the "children" of the selection. In this case "All Sales Territories" is selected but the lower graph is showing the breakdown of the regions. (Which is the children of All Sales Territories)

PerformancePoint also allows designers to pull Reporting Services reports into scorecards along side other types of reports. In the example shown below, the report on the right is a Reporting Services report which contains some sparkline trends.

PerformancePoint also contains Scorecards which contain built in KPIs. In the example shown below, the KPIs were imported from Analysis Services, and they are linked to the objects on the page. So when a user clicks on the a KPI, such as "Bikes", the grid to the right and chart at the bottom are both filtered by "Bikes". (Or the children of Bikes)

Because PerformancePoint allows for the linking of ProClarity views, designers can use ProClarity's advanced analytic chart types in the dashboards. (As shown below)
